About the Artist

Paintings rooted in memory, nature, and quiet detail.

Sally Devinney creates watercolor paintings inspired by beloved animals, coastal landscapes, and the natural places that stay with us.

Art has always been the heartbeat of her home. Coming from a family of artists, she learned early on that seeing the world through a creative lens is a gift to be shared. This lifelong passion and her love for our furry friends led her to master techniques in the two mediums that define her work today: the softness and movement of watercolor and the vibrant colors of soft pastels.

As a retired art teacher, Sally has had the privilege of serving K–12 students during her career. Teaching has not only taught Sally to share the joy of creation with her students, but it has also kept her own practice disciplined and evolving.

Sally splits her time between the vibrant energy of Philadelphia and peaceful, salt-air summers in Ocean City, New Jersey.
